When people misunderstand you, let them, there is nothing to prove!

You play a different character in different minds.
When people watch a movie in a theatre, they all walk out with a different experience. Some enjoyed it, some called it a flop, some found it thrilling others boring.
It was the same movie they watched then what made the difference?
Their Perception!
People’s perception of you majorly depends on who they are. And this makes me question: is it worth dwelling on something that’s hardly about you?
We all want to be perceived as a good person, or something synonymous to that. And we try to be at our best behavior in front of others, quietly deceiving them and ourselves, posing to be a ‘righteous one’.
But who has set these unrealistic standards of righteousness?
Is a human without flaws even a human?
We all are but an amalgamation of our vices and virtues.
Nonetheless, no matter however perfectly we present ourselves there will always be someone who would misunderstand us.
One might misjudge you as a rude and arrogant person because you didn’t speak much. But deep down you are just a shy introvert who struggle at public interactions.
People’s perception of you is not in your control. Literally!
Neither can you help how it forms nor can you change it.
If you crave to be liked by everyone, my dear reader you will end up in disappointment!
So, I would urge you to shift your focus on becoming your ‘authentic self’. Do the thing that is right by you. Work on the things that are important to you and make your life worthwhile.
In the meantime, if you have spectators watching your every move then let them enjoy the show!
Never shrink yourself just to prove a point to those who are determined to misjudge others.
Be unapologetic!
Be yourself!
